Maintain the perfect look of Kerrock surfaces

Maintain the perfect look of Kerrock surfaces

Kerrock has been synonymous with quality and reliability for many years. Thanks to its special composition, which combines aluminium hydroxide and a premium acrylic binder, it creates the appearance of natural stone, while offering many advantages – a pleasant feel, moisture resistance and the possibility of easy surface restoration. These properties make Kerrock an excellent choice for kitchen worktops, sinks, bathrooms and other interior spaces. To maintain its impeccable appearance over the years, proper care is essential. Here are simple but effective maintenance instructions.

Daily cleaning

For regular cleaning of Kerrock surfaces, a soft microfibre cloth, warm water and common household cleaners such as Pril, Cif, Ajax or similar are sufficient. Always clean in a circular motion to achieve an even clean and to prevent marks.

If there is a spillage of coffee, wine or other staining liquids, it is important to wipe up the stain immediately. If stains do become embedded in the surface, there’s no need to worry – Kerrock can handle them easily and allows for effective removal.

Removing stubborn stains

For matt surfaces, use a cleaning pad (e.g. Vileda Glitzi) and a 3:1 solution of bleach and water or a special abrasive cleaner such as Keril. After cleaning, rinse the surface several times with warm water and wipe dry.

Be gentler on glossy surfaces – we recommend using a soft cloth and a fine polishing agent to maintain the smooth and shiny appearance of the material.

Special cream abrasive cleaner

Special cleaner for:

  • Kerrock products,
  • Kerrock surface and
  • Stainless steel.

Against limescale: vinegar or bathroom cleaner

Limestone is no obstacle for Kerrock. You can use vinegar or bathroom cleaner – apply to the surface, leave for 2-3 minutes, wipe with a soft cloth and rinse. The surface will be shiny again.

Beauty care for sinks and washbasins

To keep your sink looking like new, clean it once or twice a week with a mixture of water and bleach (e.g. Varekin). Spray on the surface, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse and wipe thoroughly. This will remove grease and organic stains that accumulate with daily use.

Special warnings for long-lasting trouble-free operation

Kerrock is durable, but not indestructible. So consider the following:

  • Do not place hot cookware directly on the surface – use protective liners.
  • Do not pour boiling water directly into the sink without first opening the cold water.
  • Do not cut without a cutting board.
  • Rinse spills of cleaning agents or chemicals (such as acetone, lye, strong acids) immediately with water and a mild detergent.

Scratches? No problem!

Because Kerrock is homogeneous throughout the entire cross-section, minor scratches and nicks can be easily removed by sanding. For deeper damage, use sandpaper of different grit sizes and finish with a fine abrasive. Glossy surfaces require a finer finish, so we recommend that you leave it to the professionals.

Warranty and environmental liability

Kerrock is an environmentally friendly material – leftovers from production by Kolpa d.o.o. Metlika recycles and reuses without compromising on quality. Aware of its responsibility towards its customers and the environment, the manufacturer offers a 10-year guarantee on the quality of the material, subject to care and processing instructions.

With proper care and attention, your Kerrock can stay as perfect as the day you first installed it.
